At Burlescombe C of E (VC) Primary School we provide a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment that promotes the social, physical, moral and spiritual development of each individual child. "A notable feature of the school is the pupils’ enthusiasm for learning" (Ofsted 2011)

“There are many strong elements to the school curriculum. The local environment, including woodland and a nearby canal, is used well to broaden pupils’ understanding and to teach them to assess risk" (Ofsted 2011).

The school is situated approximately 10 miles from Tiverton and 5 miles from Wellington and is approximately 5 minutes from the M5 corridor (Junction 27).
             
The school serves the villages of Burlescombe and Westleigh and many of the surrounding villages.

We maintain close relationships with our village neighbourhood and schools within our learning community as well as our partnership school Uffculme, which now has Academy status. Pupils who live in the designated area transfer to Uffculme at the end of Year 6.

We are in a working partnership with our near neighbours, Webber’s C of E Primary school and work closely with our local learning community.
